Wild began his career as a Laborer in 1963. For the past eighteen years he has been a delegate to the District Council, and has been a member of the Council's Executive Board since 1990.

During his years as a delegate, Wild served as Trustee to the Laborers' Health and Pension Funds, the Skill Improvement Fund, and the Laborers' - Employers' Cooperation and Education Trust.

Over the years Wild also served on many negotiating committees, including the Heavy and Highway Committee where he has been instrumental in helping the Laborers build a strong and positive working relationship with signatory contractors throughout the state.
